Fire Department

The Wabash Fire Department employs 31 firefighters, including 22 paramedics, manning two stations. The Fire Department is a 24 hour, seven day a week operation to assist the public with emergency responses. Fire Department personnel provide fire extinguisher demonstrations for local businesses and individuals, fire and EMS safety talks for local organizations, company life safety and familiarity tours of local factories, life safety inspections of all City businesses, and tours of both fire stations. The Department also sponsors an annual smoke detector giveaway program, and provides free, walk-in blood pressure checks to the public.
