Mayor’s Office

The Mayor’s office, located within City Hall, is often the first point of contact for most City related business. This office is responsible for the overall coordination of meetings, records and communication between the Mayor and all departments of the City and the general public, as well as management of personnel files for City employees. The Mayor works closely with a variety of state and local businesses and organizations to manage and cultivate City operations and developments. The Mayor also maintains a cooperative working relationship with Wabash County government and the town of North Manchester.

The Mayor’s Administrative Assistant maintains the Mayor’s schedule; prepares and distributes information to news media, including City Council and Board of Works agendas; handles all documentation for City-awarded grants; acts as secretary to the City’s Redevelopment Commission, Redevelopment Authority, Stormwater Board, City Council, Board of Public Works & Safety, and Traffic Commission; and assists other City offices and departments as necessary. Any business going before the City Council or Board of Works must be submitted to the Mayor’s office to be included on the next meeting’s agenda. This office also assists City residents with Residential Tax Abatements after the initial filing with the Building Commissioner.
