The Clerk Treasurer’s office upholds all fiscal responsibilities for the City of Wabash

These duties include:
  • Managing all City accounts payable and receivable
  • Monitoring CEDIT funds
  • Investing City funds in CD’s and bonds
  • Conducting all functions of City payroll and PERF requirements
  • Preparing annual City department budgets, including expenses, revenues and projected cash flow for all municipal funds
  • Maintaining all City ordinances and resolutions
  • Assisting with annual State Board of Accounts audit
  • Maintains all city owned vehicle titles
  • Handling all liability, equipment damage and theft insurance claims
  • Performs research on numerous topics

CFO (Chief Finance Officer) of all revenue, investments and cash on hand for the City of Wabash and all subordinate entities. Serve as Clerk to the Legislative body, by attending Council meetings and keeping written and tape recordings of the proceedings. Prepare estimated budget and estimated miscellaneous revenue, financial statements, and the proposed tax rate and levy. Prepare the Annual Report. Oversee all Accounts Payable and Payroll functions. Keep abreast of all legislative changes relative to City Government and ensure that we are always in compliance with State Statue and the State Board of Accounts. Prepare Salary Ordinance and keep a complete record of all Resolutions, Special and Regular Ordinances and all Council minutes.

  • Responsible for all Bond records and payments
  • Weekly and monthly balancing and Bank rec
  • Maintaining priced assets ledger & department inventories
  • Attend State Board of Accounts meetings annually and attend conferences and various topic-related meetings when scheduled. Continuing education is a must to keep up with the ever-evolving job.
